Group member Mateo Celinić, mag. farm. participated in the workshop called “In silico toxicology” which was held at the Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology, Hannover, Germany from December 3 to 5, 2024 under the leadership of Dr.Sc. Sylvia Escher et al. sc. Emil Rorije.
During the workshops, the participants gained basic knowledge about QSAR models, chemical similarity, toxicity assessment using software such as the OECD QSAR toolbox, ToxTree and VEGA software. They also gained knowledge about the application of PBK and TTC models for risk assessment in making regulatory decisions. After the workshop, the participant passed the exam and obtained a certificate of successful completion of the course.
