Dr Barbara Pem, Master of Pharmacy, defended her doctoral thesis that was made within the NanoFaceS project “Interaction of metallic nanoparticles with sulphur-containing biomolecules – implications for nano-bio interface”, under the menthorship of Dr Ivana Vinković Vrček and co-mentorship of Prof Valerije Vrček. Thesis defense was held on December 14 2021 at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Zagreb.
The thesis “Mechanism of interaction of biothiols with silver and gold nanoparticles” was defended in front of the comittee consisting of: Dr Mario Jug, professor from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Zagreb, Dr Ivana Perković, associate professor the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Zagreb and Dr Robert Vianello, scientific associate Ruđer Bošković Institute. Thus DrPem successfully completed the postgraduate doctoral study Pharmaceutical and Biochemical Sciences, gaining the title of PhD.
